My professional background

I hold a BA in French with International Studies from the University of Warwick and an MA in Translation in a European Context from Aston University, the latter is a participating course in the prestigious European Masters in Translation Network.

Since becoming a professional translator, I have completed a Level 3 course in Anatomy and Physiology and passed an official Spanish language exam (Diploma de español como lengua extranjera (DELE) – Level C1).

As a full member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, I sign up to and abide by the CIOL Professional Code of Conduct which promotes good ethical and professional practice in the translation and interpreting industry.

I am also a member of the ITI Medical Network, an international group of professional translators and interpreters working in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. As part of this network, I have attended workshops on diabetes, acute medicine, vascular and abdominal surgery and obstetrics.

I also joined an NHS Research Ethics Committee in 2018.
